Make a Pottery Wall Shelf / Altar – One Evening Class
Create a beautiful, functional pottery wall shelf or altar in this fun, single-evening hand-building class. Perfect for beginners and
experienced makers alike, you’ll design and build a one-of-a-kind piece for displaying small treasures, plants, candles, or meaningful objects. We’ll guide you step-by-step through form, texture, and hanging options—no prior clay experience needed. Come get a little messy, a little creative, and leave with something truly personal (and wall-worthy).

Join us at Art Off Center to learn to create and experience clay at a working pottery studio in Taylor, Texas.
This class is dedicated for all beginners to make a single themed piece in class. No experience needed!
Level: Beginner +
Includes cost of clay, underglazes, glazing and firing.
We want you to have a great time creating pottery whether you are a beginner or more advanced. However, please remember this is just an introduction to clay. We cannot guarantee high quality results for pottery made during the session. Our goal is to provide you with a great event to remember! Art Off Center has a 30 day hold policy, pieces will be disposed off if not claimed by the end of that period after bisque firing.

Each session is priced for one person.
Please understand that, due to the program structure for this introductory class to ensure all class participants can get the most out of the class, late comers will not be admitted once the class begins.
There is no refund for late arrivals, cancellation, or no-shows.
Parking on Talbot Street.
We’re located on Potter’s Alley, direct entrance off Talbot Street/Main Street on the alley side of the McCrory Timmerman building.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes and expect to get a bit muddy.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

What’s the refund policy?
These classes are non-refundable and reschedules are not offered. Registrations may be transferred to another adult. Please understand that Art Off Center is a small business, and we rely on customers like you to help this studio thrive!
