Join us at Art Off Center for our Cooking Ware Workshop with Marc Jeannin.

This class will give you the opportunity to create your own ceramic crockery that you can cook out of. It will be an intermediate level hand building class.

The class will go over technical information and history about pottery as a cooking vessel and how they compare to other materials that are more commonly used in the kitchen. We will learn different vessel types and stylistic components that make effective cooking ware as well as recipes that can be made in our vessels. We will go over care, maintenance, seasoning, cooking tips, cleaning and storing of your cookware vessel(s).

You are guaranteed at least one vessel or however many vessels you can make with 12.5lbs of clay, fired to cone 010. Items will be ready for pick up within 3 weeks after the class. We will be focusing on making a tagine, however you have the possibility of creating a bean pot or casserole dish as well.

The class fee includes instruction, clay and all firings, and use of studio materials.

Registration and Refund Policies:

• Tuition is due in full at time of registration.
• Workshops with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled, participants will be moved to next session.
• Workshop registrants must be a minimum age of 18.
• Art Off Center reserves the right, if necessary to cancel the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances. Participant workshop fees will be fully refunded.
• Art Off Center can not be held responsible for travel arrangements.
