Garden Totem Workshop

A four-week class that covers the traditional skills of creating ceramic sculpture pieces to decorate your

yard/garden with a ceramic totem. Pinching, coil building and patterned slabs can be used in the processes; taking a student from raw clay to finished garden totem sculpture in four sessions.

Students will make and finish multiple pieces to fit a small 4′ shepherd’s hook (provided in class fee) , so this is a great class to work sketches into finished pieces.  Decorating with slips, oxides and underglazes will also be covered.
