Garden Tower Workshop

A five-week class that covers the traditional skills of creating ceramic sculpture pieces to decorate your

yard/garden with a ceramic garden tower. Pinching, coil building and patterned slabs can be used in the processes; taking a student from raw clay to finished garden tower sculpture in four sessions.

Students will make and finish multiple pieces to fit a small 4′ shepherd’s hook (provided in class fee), so this is a great class to work sketches into finished pieces.  Decorating with slips, oxides and underglazes will also be covered.

Students will have access to Open Studio times to continue to build and refine sculptures.

Students should bring a sketch notebook to classes to prepare and decorate their creations.

Registration and Refund Policies:

• Tuition is due in full at time of registration.
• Workshops with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled and participant will be moved to next session.
• Workshop registrants must be a minimum age of 14.
• Art Off Center reserves the right, if necessary to cancel the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances. Participant workshop fees will be fully refunded.
• Art Off Center can not be held responsible for travel arrangements.
