Make Your Own Pottery Lamp

Join us at Art Off Center to learn to create and experience clay at a working pottery studio in Taylor, Texas.

Join us for a fun and functional pottery experience where you’ll hand-build your own ceramic lamp base from clay. In this guided workshop, you’ll learn slab-building or coil techniques, how to carve or texture your lamp body, and how to prepare your piece for the electrical components. We’ll have fun with colored underglazes and glazes!

This is the perfect blend of art and utility—create a statement piece that brings handmade warmth to any room in your home.

🎨 No Experience Needed

This class is open to all levels—beginners welcome! Whether you’re new to clay or a seasoned maker, you’ll leave with a beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece.

Level: Beginner +

Class includes cost of clay, underglazes, glazing and firing. Lamp hardware recommendations, we’ll have samples of commonly used fixtures for the lamp prep. Items will be ready for pickup 1-2 after last class.

Registration and Refund Policies:

• Tuition is due in full at time of registration.
• Workshop registrants must be a minimum age of 12.
• Art Off Center reserves the right, if necessary to cancel the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances. Participant workshop fees will be fully refunded.
• Art Off Center can not be held responsible for travel arrangements.
