Pottery Decoration Workshops

In this series of workshops, the instructors at Art Off Center, will be covering various pottery decoration techniques that will encompass decorating on bisque or leather hard clay depending on the class that you select.

Color, line and shape, you’ll be guided through how to decorate your pots and sculptures with various

techniques in the assorted classes. Some supplies will be supplied, but students will need to bring or purchase bisque and/or clay pieces depending on the class workshop. 

All levels welcome!

The class fee includes the cost of instruction, and tools. Bisque, glaze and firing are extra fees based on current AOC services firing fee prices.  We’ll have the pieces ready for pickup in 2-3 weeks after the class.

 

April classes:

Bubble and Marbling Techniques-Utilizes underglazes and additional items to decorate bisque pieces. Please bring or purchase bisque items.

May classes:

Underglaze Transfer Paper-Utilizes pre-printed transfer paper to decorate bisque and to apply to a leather hard slab. Please bring or purchase a bisque item, leather hard slab will be supplied.

june classes:

Peacock Glazing-Learn to decorate a bisque item (bowl is preferred) in a lovely peacock feather style pattern with assorted commercial and Art Off Center glazes. Please bring or purchase a bisque item.

We’re located on Potter’s Alley, direct entrance off Talbot Street/Main Street on the alley side of the McCrory Timmerman building. Parking on Talbot Street.

Each ticket is priced for one person per session. Limited seating, no wait list.

Please understand that, due to the program structure for these workshop classes to ensure all class participants can get the most out of the class, late comers will not be admitted once the class begins.

There is no refund for late arrivals, cancellation, or no-shows.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes and expect to get a bit messy. Please follow current CDC guidelines for masks.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

This event is suitable for 18+.

What’s the refund policy?

These classes are non-refundable and reschedules are not offered. Registrations may be transferred to another adult. Please understand that Art Off Center is a small business, and we rely on customers like you to help this studio thrive!
