Decorating Votive Holder & Candle Making Class

Join us at Art Off Center to learn to create and experience clay at a working pottery studio in Taylor, Texas. Let’s get decorating!

Create something cozy, colorful, and completely handmade! In this two-part workshop, students will decorate 1–3 small ceramic

votive holders using a variety of underglazes and glazes. Choose your favorite pieces from a selection of bisque-fired ceramic cylinders handmade by Melanie and Tina, then personalize them with color, pattern, and style.

After glazing, the pieces will be fired in the kiln. Two weeks later, students will return for the second session to pour and finish their own votive candles, selecting scents and learning the basics of candle making so each piece is ready to use or gift.

• Candle wax, scents, and wicks

No prior experience needed—this class is perfect for beginners and creatives who love handmade home décor. You’ll leave with beautiful, functional votive candles made entirely by you.

Registration and Refund Policies:

• Tuition is due in full at time of registration.
• Workshops with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled, participants will be moved to next session.
• Workshop registrants must be a minimum age of 12+.
• Art Off Center reserves the right, if necessary to cancel the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances. Participant workshop fees will be fully refunded.
• Art Off Center can not be held responsible for travel arrangements.
• Due to the program structure for this introductory class to ensure all class participants get the most out of the class, late comers will not be admitted once the class starts
• There is no refund for late arrivals, cancellation or no-shows.
